1. Landscape, Portrait & Automatic Shorts Export

Reelmix lets you export multiple formats in a single render job to maximize your reach:

• Landscape (16:9): Ideal for standard YouTube videos (1080p, 4K, 720p).

• Portrait (9:16): Perfect layout for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts (1080x1920).

• Both (Landscape + Portrait): Reelmix automatically builds the full landscape compilation while simultaneously creating a cropped vertical version centered on the action.

"Create Individual Short for Each Song" Option

When checked in the bottom bar, Reelmix builds the full compilation video and also generates individual 60-second vertical short clips for each track in your list, ready for social media upload.

2. Distribution & Batch Modes

• Single Compilation Video (All-in-one): Merges all selected songs into a single continuous video.

• One Video Per Song: Exports a standalone video file for each track in your playlist.

• Split Songs Across Backgrounds (Batching): Define a maximum number of songs or duration per video (e.g. max 5 songs per video). Reelmix automatically splits your playlist into consecutive parts and assigns a different background to each video.

3. Hardware Acceleration & Encoders (VideoToolbox / NVENC / x264)

Reelmix auto-detects hardware acceleration for maximum render speeds:

• macOS: Uses h264_videotoolbox or hevc_videotoolbox leveraging Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) hardware engines.

• Windows / Linux: Supports h264_nvenc (NVIDIA) and h264_amf (AMD).

• Software (CPU): Fallback to libx264 when GPU acceleration is unavailable.

Tip: You can manually switch encoders using the dropdown selector in the top bar.
